Rubis in the Community
With a significant and widespread presence in the Channel Islands, Rubis through its subsidiaries La Collette Terminal Ltd, St Sampson Terminal Ltd and Fuel Supplies (C.I.) Limited, recognises the importance of its involvement within the local community. We are very proud of our association with various groups and charities and are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with a large and varied number of organisations throughout the islands.
We work with The Jersey & Guernsey Air Displays ensuring quality fuels are available and on specification for a variety of different aircraft that these events bring to the Islands. We also support some fantastic local events such as the RUBiS Jersey International Motoring Festival, International Food Festival, Portuguese Food Festival, States of Jersey Police Awards, Guernsey West Show and many other local events.
We also support many local charities and organisations including Jersey Cancer Trust, Les Bourgs Hospice, Guernsey Blind Association, Société Jersiaise, Royal Air Forces Association and Guernsey Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Not only do these events provide great entertainment and competitive opportunities for island residents, they also provide a wonderful platform to encourage visitors to the islands.
We take every opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint where possible and help our customers and partners to do the same. As an example, our alliance with Jersey Trees for Life and Guernsey Men of The Trees gives our customers and partners the ability to offset their carbon emissions by donating points earned from their spend on road fuels to these organisations. They in turn, are doing invaluable work in replanting trees and hedgerows which protect and regenerate our wonderful countryside whilst offsetting the islands overall carbon footprint.
